The Moisture Lock Technique
Skin loses water through its surface all day long. A good routine is about holding moisture in.

Why moisture matters
Skin defends itself against sun, pollution and air-conditioning, and it steadily loses water through its surface. Cool, dry rooms, and air conditioners in particular, can add to that dryness.
The three-layer idea
A moisture lock works in layers. A humectant such as hyaluronic acid draws water into skin. A moisturiser softens and smooths. Then a film-forming step, which for many people is a sheet mask, helps slow moisture loss so skin feels soft and hydrated.
A simple order
- Cleanse gently; double cleanse if you wore sunscreen or makeup.
- Apply a hydrating serum to slightly damp skin.
- Moisturise: a gel for humid weather, a cream for dry or cold weather.
- Finish with your sheet mask for 2โ3 hours, following the pack directions.
Small habits that help
- Use lukewarm, not hot, water on your face.
- Change pillowcases regularly.
- Avoid letting the bedroom get too dry with AC or heaters.
Be patient: skin usually needs several weeks of steady use before you can judge a routine fairly.
